Reply:I'm not sure Home Depot would be the best place to buy a bow stave.

Here is a link to a great bow making site. They sell premium Hickory staves for less than $20. Bow making is a fine hobby.

Good Luck!

Reply:wood at home depot is not good for making bows......been there tried that........you would be better going to a place like Rocklers........if you want to make a bow from board wood make sure you get quarter sawn wood so the grain runs the right way.......the grain does not run the right way with wood bought from places as home depot or lowes here is a website to help

http://residents.bowhunting.net/sticknst... another place to get bow wood is here

Reply:I doubt it, but google bow making supplies, thats your only option.
Reply:Look at your dedicated lumber stores for direction or supplies...you might also check out Rockler.
Reply:I seriously doubt if Home Depot or any of the home improvemant stores will have this..try and find a Wood Craftsman store..they will have it.
Reply:The best woods for the traditional longbow

are Lemonwood or Yew.

You need a straight clear grained staff, prime

wood, best purchased at a bowyers shop.

You're going to do a lot of work. Don't waste

it by going cheap on the material.
