Clear braces?
I had clear brackets not invisaline. I had a problem with the staining and I ended up getting a silver rubber band on them. If you get the silver rubberband it still looks just as good as when you had clear braces. Ask your orthadontist.
Reply:My clear braces don't stain, I guess that is because I brush teeth everyday, and you CAN get any color you want for the clear braces . Report It
Reply:if you are getting the invisiline, you take them out to eat. having had braces i would strongly suggest invisiline. im sure they would be alot more comfortable than having a mouth full of metal.
Reply:first of all clear braces are a lot bigger than metal braces. I got them and when they put them on I was like what the hell? they are huge and the dental assistant said "oh yes we forgot to tell u they are bigger". Plus they turn yellow very quick. Try to avoid coffee, tea, sodas, popcorn, mustard, hard candy, gum, etc.

I took them off after 4 days! Hate them!
Reply:i have regular metal braces and they're cool cuz u can pick any color u want and food doesnt stain like clear braces. i say change ur mind.
Reply:I would change your mind. Coffee, mustard, tea, cokes, etc. can stain them and then in pictures or just in real life people would think your teeth were yellow. I have heard they do not work as good in the end as metal braces. WIth metal braces you get to pick colors to! and I think you have to wear invisalign longer.
Reply:If you avoid most of the staining foods and drinks like Coke, coffee, etc. they will stay clear much longer. Over time they will start to yellow a bit, so be sure to get your teeth cleaned every 3 months while the brackets are on, that will help a lot. For home care, use a toothpaste that has stain fighting ability, it will say "whitening" on the tube and usually those help with stains. Another thing to try is to make a paste with baking soda and water and gently brush the brackets once a week with this. They make special toothbrushes for braces that have two rows with a shorter middle row so you can keep them cleaner, and also you can try a power toothbrush like a SoniCare that works wonderfully for preventing buildup of stain. With good home care, your clear brackets should stay looking nice and "invisible"! Good Luck..
