I have a woodlot which contains Taxus Canadensis AKA Ground Hemlock, or Canadian yew. I was Just wondering what could I do to promote the species to the max.
Can anyone tell me what is the best way to promote ground hemlock on my property?
Take some cuttings of new growth (soft branches), strip the outer layer about 1"-2" above the cut. Dip the stripped part into Rootone. Get a clay or plastic pot, fill with potting soil, make a finger hole in the potting soil and place the clipping into the hole, press down firmly and water. Keep in shade for a few weeks. It should start to grow for you.
