Good tree/bush for soggy area in partial shade?

I have a area at the corner of my house (Zone 5) that gets about 4 hours of direct sun, the area is very wet, b/c a downspout and also a sumpump from my basement also drains out there, i need a tree/ bush that will grow to be around 10-14' tall w/ seasonal interest. there is currently a 12' tall yew. any ideas?

Red oyser dogwood (Cornus stolonifera) colorful red bark all year long...has white berries in late summer early fall...doesn't get to tall.

Elderberry (Sambucus canadensis) grows up to 14 feet tall has nice berries in July/August which birds love.



All shrubs listed above grow well in wet areas and also do well with some sun and shade. Look them up online and see cool pictures of them and you will also get lots of information about each one.
Reply:Have you tried Rhododendron? they like it pretty wet, maybe put a lot of bark and some drain tile in the ground under the planting of whatever you decide on, Also you might try a burning bush, they turn bright red in fall and are beautiful. Go to your local nursery or Lowe's. Lowe's guarantees their shrubs and trees for a yr. Just save the slip and the ticket off the plants just in case. Good luck. I'd plant Hosta, I have the same problem and they love it all spring and summer, they die back in winter but, that's ok by me.
