How to clean a ps2 disk with home products??

i havethi urbz ps2 game and it doesnt go past the loading screen, its prety battered so im thinking this could be the problem...it got lots f smudges and scratches how can i get rid them with just products from home? i dont want to have to pay for professional to do it.. thank yew ^.^

Best thing to use would be furniture polish and a clean cotton rag; spray it on then rub it in small circles, or wipe toward the outer rim. The waxy spray will fill in small scratches and clean smudges. If this doesn't work, it'll make a good coaster!
Reply:either buy a new one or put achole on it a clean it off with a towel that might work.
Reply:you can start with a little dishwashing liquid on a soft paper towel.



Wet the disk and rub lightly with the soapy towel, Then rinse the disk and let it dry.



You can be more aggressive with a polish like toothpaste but that might damage your disk.



Work from the center to the edge , not around the disk.
