Looking in Sea Water?

Yes, goggles are perfect but I am practicing without..

Well, I love the water and I live in Australia in the Gold Coast so I go to the sea alot. I am practicing without my goggles and when I went on holiday to Tenerife (Canarie Islands) I opened my eyes but it was super blury, will it be the same in the sea..

Dont say find out and check.. Please! Because I dont see the point in getting all dressed for the sea to do one thing when It might not even work..

Because you see all these people who see underwater on like nature programs underwater and theyre always in Rivers and Sea's, not swimming pools.

So does anyone know for sure, Not Guessing, but know for sure weather the water is clear in the sea without goggles.

Please dont give sarcastic answers :D

Thank yew..

Looking in Sea Water?
Depends where you go....Every April, my g/f and a few of her g/f we fly down to the Cayman Island for 2 weeks. We dive down to 25 to 30 ft to the ocean bottom and swim with no goggles. Yes it is blury (like a pool) But the deeper you go the better it is. I can stay underwater for over 4 minutes per dive. When we dive to look for things on the bottom, we do wear goggles, But for photos, just a swimsuit.
Reply:You won't be able to see clearly underwater, even with fresh water, unless you wear goggles. Water against your eyeballs affects your focal distance and you need air next to your eyes if you want to see clearly. Also, if you're in salt water, the salt will hurt your eyes: I had to take my mask off in the sea as part of my scuba training, and my eyes were quite sore for some time, even after I had put my mask back on.

Wear goggles, or you'll miss the most wonderful sights in the world!
Reply:I tried this in the Gulf of Mexico and it was blurry. I think that all salt water would do the same thing, but my experience was only the Gulf.
