If Mr LKY has given up hope for Myanmar, U Than Shwe must not be communicating with him.



China has more influence now. I pray that US and UN can come up with a better solution for people of Myanmar.



Do not expect to have a western style democracy in Asia. China does not have at all and Singapore has no democracy either. What are activists and the west expecting of Myanmar?

Reply:They have been fine all this time haven't they? Just because they suppressed a demonstration doesn't make then a problem. I believe that every government has a right to rule its country as they deem fit. As long as they do not endanger other countries or even the world i'm fine with whatever they wan to do.
