What are the reasons for the long duration of political leadership of Lee Kuan Yew?
I'm American, but I have the answer for you.
There are no term limits. Most PMs do not have set term limits.
Lee's leadership (in terms of time and limit) is similar to that of Margeret Thatcher in UK.
Had term limits been set, he would not have been PM for all those decades. Now, the PM is his son.
