Confused about animals?

ok so first of all just exactly whats the difference between an ewe %26amp; a yew %26amp; why are they pronounced the same? And second, I just read a big article about a major animal rights group euthanizing everytihing that comes their way. I've also heard about the EPA taking bribes %26amp; incentive $.......What is a good animal rights %26amp; environmental protection groups that actually have their heads in the right place %26amp; actually care %26amp; believe in what they are about?
