Colours tht portrays a theme of happy and sad?

I want to paint my room that luks unique n a bit wild….aqua, teal, yellow r sum of the colours tht appeal to me…black is awesome tooo..buh I cant seem to make a gud combination with ne of them…I dunt want to paint my room with the same colour either…I want it in a way tht wen m sad n enter the room I feel in place where a ibelong same goes with wen m happi it shud cheer me up..in short a theme tht reflects upon happy and sad…m totally confused..n perhaps confused most of yew too..buh if yew hv ne suggestions plz throw in….

Reply:colors that relate to happy and sad are based on your culture. different cultures have different association with colors. You should paint it pink.
Reply:I am a teacher. Our school counselor painted each wall of her room to represent a feeling (this is an elementary school), in correlation to the weather. One was bright and sunny with a rainbow (happy), one was rainy (sad), one was stormy with black clouds and lightning (angry) and the other is kind of muted colors (calm). The kids think its a lot of fun.



Perhaps you can do something similar. have different walls represent different emotions through these colors you have mentioned and their shades. Often it is not an individual color that represents a feeling, but a shade of that color.
