I was just wondering why people consider something that's like, clear, different to invisible
because the definition of invisible is kinda like its there, but yew cant see it
and water is there, and yew almost cant see it
if something like a human became invisible
would they look like a person made out of water?
im sorry if i dont make sense.. i was really bored O.o
heh but, basically, the question is the title :D hah.
Could water considered invisible?
Pure water is colorless, but not invisible, because it is not totally transparent.... that is why very deep water blurs the sight of an object underneath........ unless the entire light goes through an object like say, air, it can't be called invisible...... depending on the angle of light, some part of light does reflect from a thick layer of water which can also give it a lightly colored look..... perhaps something to do with the refraction index. Totally invisible man can't be seen, so he would be like seeing through air.
Reply:Water is a liquid substance. It does not matter how clear water appears to be the fact that its a liquid substance - gurantess its visibility. Water is more dense than air. Since we are looking through air into water the denser substance is always more evident.
By definiton things that we cannot see are invisible. Like radio and microwaves. Things that are clear or completely transparent are not invisible. Take a perfectly clean mirror door for example. I`m sure some guy has walked face first into a glass door because he didn`t see it. But thats not because its invisible its because he was not paying attention. If u look really close at glass thats complelty transparent (see right through it) u can still become aware of the glass. U might now be able to tell where it stops and starts but u can see it because glass is denser than air. Substances/objects that are more dense than air are always visible.
Reply:hey i was bored too...but i didn't get ur question....anyways thanks for 2 points!!
Reply:clear can be solid or liquid,
Invisible( not vi sable to the human eye) probably could be also solid.
the human invisibility question is very interesting but i could bot give a definitive answer to it.
Reply:...no! it takes up space.
Reply:how abouts if you go and takes a dives in a public swimming pool , and then , open your eyes while you are in the water , did you see the water or did you saw other objects , such as bikinies and swimming trunks under-wears. Ha haaa , in science , they had also said in a formula : AIR --%26gt;%26gt; WATER --%26gt;%26gt; AIR = THE SAME THING'S.
Reply:no it is not.. you could still see a form(transparent) of liquid, could you not?
Reply:Even though you can see through it, you can still see it. You can look at it and see that it is water. If it were invisible you wouldn't be able to see it at all. You would only know it was there if you walked into it.
